The Marine Corps League Baltimore Detachment proudly celebrates a legacy rooted in the rich history of the Marine Corps League, established nearly 100 years ago. As one of the earliest detachments, originally named after Baltimore’s own Brigadier General Charles H. Lauchheimer, we honor those who have served by fostering camaraderie, support, and dedication to the ideals of the United States Marine Corps.

Honoring Our Fallen Heroes: Memorial Day 2025
The veteran’s memorial is situated on land at Fort
Avenue and Andre Street. Included in the memorial
are flag poles for America’s colors and a brick
monument dedicated to military veterans. In earlier
years the VFW maintained the area. After their
departure the MCL Baltimore Detachment has
continued the maintenance.
Every year since, the MCL Baltimore Detachment
has conducted memorial services on Memorial
Day. Today over 25 local residents took part in the Memorial
Day Services. We thank all who participated in this
patriotic day of remembrance.
